Whew- we're already to Wednesday, and yet, the weekend still seems far away! I loved having Monday off- we were at Blake's parent's housboat, where it rained all day, but it gave me the perfect excuse to curl up with a good book and watch the rain. Very relaxing. The weekend as a whole was fabulous- we went to a beautiful wedding, had some great fellowship with the Hammons clan, and got to spend about 12 hours in the car. Ok, well that part wasn't too fun, but the rest was! This weekend will be no different- I'm going to a wedding Friday in Eureka Springs, AR, and coming back to Tulsa, then we head out Saturday am for a wedding in Tyler, TX. I love weddings, but I do not love traveling for weddings. I've heard Oklahoma is a great place to elope to if any of you are interested.

Blake started his new job today, and tonight we are having our neighbors over for dinner. They welcomed us to the neighborhood almost a year ago and we're finally getting the chance to return the favor. We live right next to each other, we go to the same church, and we have a lot in common, yet we never seem to have time to hang out! Remedying this situation tonight! I'm making pulled pork, grilled zuchinni, salad, rolls, mac n cheese (they have two little ones) and brownies and ice cream for desssert! Yum!

Blake got a job!

What an answer to prayer! Blake passed all of his classes- he's now a P2 AND he got a job! He will be working for All Saints Pharmacy- a collaborative effort of St. John's and St. Francis- compounding IVs for Hospice. He's very excited about it because he will be using medications's he's never dealt with before. It will be a great experience for him AND it's Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm. So we'll get to have nights and weekends together! Yay for getting to see the hubs!

This weekend will be very busy- we're going up to Kansas City for a friend's wedding, then we have the Hammons fish fry and then Monday you can find us relaxing at the lake. Say it with me... ahhhhhhh.

New Post!

Wow, I'm horrible at updating. So much is going on in our lives right now. Blake is in his last month of his first year of pharmacy school and could use everyone's prayers in his final push. He is also trying to explore job possibilities for the summer AND we are petitioning the school for in-state tuition as our plan is to remain in Oklahoma when he is done with school. We are also trying to make some big decisions regarding living arrangements which has us both a little stressed and confused. So, pray, pray, pray.

I am continuing to love my job and finding more and more each day how perfect it is for me. I have a lot of respect for the people I work with and I am able to learn new things constantly, but fortunately I'm past the huge learning curve I had to conquer when I first started. I definately feel like I contribute to the team and also the taxpayers.

We have a very busy summer coming up- 7 weddings and I am hosting a bridal shower for one of my best friends, Jessica, and cohosting a baby shower for my wonderful sister-in-law Kristina! I am so excited for all of these activities, but I know there will be a lot of traveling and expense involved, so we need to really watch our money this summer! Thankfully we just finished a Crown Financial Class with our church which has really encouraged us to become better managers of our money.
